What is Robotic Knee Replacement Surgery?

Robotic knee replacement surgery is an advanced procedure that uses cutting-edge technology, including AI and robotics, to deliver exceptional precision and personalized care.
• Preoperative Imaging by CT scan: Some robotic systems need preoperative CT scans to create a 3D model of your knee while some rely on intraoperative mapping.
• AI-Powered Planning: AI analyzes the scan data to develop a customized surgical plan, ensuring precise alignment and placement of the implant.
Enhanced Surgical Precision: During the procedure, a robotic system assists the surgeon by guiding precise movements, reducing the risk of human error.
• Minimized Tissue Damage: The robotic system ensures only the necessary areas are treated, protecting surrounding tissues.
• Faster Recovery: Patients experience less pain, quicker recovery, and improved mobility compared to traditional techniques.

Robotic knee replacement is ideal for those with severe knee arthritis or injury, offering long-lasting results and a smoother return to daily activities.

Schedule a consultation today to discuss your needs and determine if this innovative approach can help you achieve lasting pain relief and improved knee function.

In this video, I explained the differences between 𝙐𝙣𝙞𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙙𝙮𝙡𝙖𝙧 𝙆𝙣𝙚𝙚 𝙍𝙚𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 (𝙐𝙆𝙍) 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙏𝙤𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙆𝙣𝙚𝙚 𝙍𝙚𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 (𝙏𝙆𝙍). UKR is ideal for localized medial compartment damage, offering a less invasive option with quicker recovery. TKR, however, is necessary for more extensive arthritis involving multiple compartments, providing comprehensive relief but with a longer recovery period. Consulting with your doctor is essential to determine the most suitable approach based on the severity and extent of your condition.

When Can I Bear Weight on the Operated Leg After Partial Hip Replacement?

After a partial hip replacement (Hemiarthroplasty), one of the most common questions arises in patient's mind is, "When can I start bearing weight on the operated leg?" The timeline for weight-bearing largely depends on the type of surgery, bone quality, and overall health. In most cases, you can begin partial weight-bearing almost immediately after surgery, with the assistance of crutches or a walker. This gradual process allows your body to adjust and heal properly.

Typically, by the second or third week, it is recommended to increase the weight-bearing capacity under supervision, as long as there are no complications. By the fourth to sixth week, most patients can bear full weight on the operated leg with minimal assistance.

Every patient's recovery is unique. However, it is always advised to follow the individualized rehabilitation plan created by your physical therapist and surgeon. Monitoring your pain levels and mobility will guide them in adjusting your weight-bearing progression.

Remember, patience is key in ensuring a smooth and successful recovery. Rushing into full weight-bearing before your hip is ready can lead to complications.

If you have questions about partial hip replacement surgery (Hemiarthroplasty) or the recovery process, feel free to ask.
